NJ Bio is thrilled to share that the Honorable Ms. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw inaugurated the “Center for NMR Excellence” equipped with the state-of-the-art JEOL 800 MHz and Bruker 700MHz NMR spectrometers at our Princeton headquarters. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, a renowned visionary leader and a self-made entrepreneur is the Executive Chairperson and Founder of Biocon and Biocon Biologics Limited, a leading biotech company in India that has become one of the world’s largest and most successful companies. Kiran is also a prominent philanthropist and advocate for social causes who has worked towards improving the quality of life of millions of patients worldwide.
During her visit, Kiran and the NJ Bio team had a robust discussion about the recent developments in drug discovery and the potential of biosimilars to revolutionize the pharmaceutical industry. She was accompanied by acclaimed writer, physician, and scientist, Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee who has vast experience in the field of cancer genetics.
The ‘Center for NMR Excellence’ at NJ Bio offers access to cutting-edge technology and was set up with a vision to contribute to research excellence in key areas of biomedical sciences and biochemistry. This center will enable NJ Bio to carry out complex and precise analysis of biomolecules. Along with the 800 MHz JEOL NMR with cryoprobe and the Bruker 700 MHz NMR with cryoprobe, NJ Bio labs are also equipped with Two 500-MHz and one 300-MHz Agilent NMR spectrometers.
